Joanne switched careers in 2020 from air cabin crew, touching–down to the world of UX and hasn’t looked back. Joanne is passionate about discovering solutions for user–centred problems and creating designs with users’ needs at the forefront. After finishing her studies, she began working as a freelancer with start–ups in Communications and E–commerce. Working with start–ups enabled her to develop her client communication skills and promote the benefits of user research to create an ideal digital solution that benefits the client and the user.
Since joining Fathom, first as an intern and progressing to UX Researcher and Designer, Joanne has been working on projects focusing on creating intuitive and high–performing, user–focused digital solutions for clients such as East of England Co–operative and Permanent TSB.
In her spare time, Joanne likes to cook for friends and family; anything from tacos to biryanis but haven’t she hasn’t yet mastered the world of baking. Weather permitting Joanne likes to go on hikes and has recently started a dress–making course.
